History of ReFurnishings

The Maritime Provinces of Canada are the oldest of the Canadian provinces. Parts of Nova Scotia were settled in the 1600's and 1700's. Renovators Resource Inc. draws from buildings of this era and others when choosing materials for its unique line of home furnishings, called ReFurnishings.

ReFurnishings are designed and built with salvaged antique building materials like windows, doors, flooring, wainscoting, hardware, moldings and other salvaged items. These materials come from all types of buildings, from grand ship captain's homes to classical capes to rustic barns. Each ReFurnishings piece is handcrafted and no two pieces are alike.

Whenever possible, original paints and markings are maintained. Each piece is sealed with clear polyurethane to keep old paints in their place. This produces a smooth, durable surface ready for today's home.

ReFurnishings offer the history of yesteryear fitting into to today's home furnishings requirements.
