Dismantling Services
You have seen building demolition contractors at work before: one day there is a house standing on a lot, the next day it is completely gone! Usually the materials used to construct that house are trucked off to the landfill site, with very little of it being salvaged.
At Renovators Resource Inc., we think a little differently. We believe that the premium materials in many older buildings should be re-used rather than thrown away. We take buildings apart in much the same way that they were constructed.
This takes a little longer than a traditional demolition, but it permits us to salvage materials that can then be used again, and it employs more people. It also benefits you, the building owner, as in most cases a building dismantling will cost less money than a traditional demolition.
Renovators Resource Inc. has been in operation since 1994. In addition to our Building Dismantling Service, we also have 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse in the north end of Halifax, in which we retail a large inventory of used building materials. These materials include doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, period light fixtures, cabinets, hardware, fireplace mantels, hardwood and softwood flooring and many other items. All of these items have been salvaged, either from building dismantlings or renovations: we are not a liquidator of surplus new materials.
